Nookie Bikes Sign Grant "Chopper" Fielder

24 March 2011  |
It's been an absolutely crazy few months for Nookie Bikes with new distributors coming on board thick and fast and the team stacking up well. Biggest news of all is the signing of Chopper. He will be running, Bars and Stems for 2011 ( as well as continuing his sponsorship for the Kona Clump team ) and we cannot express how ecstatic we are to welcome him into the Nookie Bikes family. We are currently designing a limited edition signature bar for Grant to run for this season and this will also be available to the public once it is launched. Grant Fielder Photo: www.waughphotos.com It was Nookie Bikes ethics that initially drew Choppers attention: "Having a brand produced by riders is where my interest lies. Built for riders, by riders. Got some components sorted, went for a ride and it just worked! My bike looks way cooler now with the new parts ready for the upcoming season." Grant recently had a photo shoot with photographer Geoff Waugh on the first day he used his new Nookie Bikes components and said how his riding simply changed! "I used to ride lower rise bars and forgot how much I missed higher rise. This enabled me to pursue the tricks I lost which I got back literally in a day. Sounds crazy but it just happened." It is Nookie Bikes intention to market and raise awareness of the new 2011 products across the globe so that they can be available to those who really love the dirtjump sport anywhere in the world. With Chopper competing as much as possible throughout the up and coming season we aim to take Nookie Bikes components out of the UK and Europe and expand its potential market. Grant Fielder Alongside this Chopper will be attending school talks and demos which will still carry on around the UK and Europe as well as other media related bike stuff. "I have secured a deal with the Jaguar 'Academy of Sport' and will be traveling to many events alongside Olympic athletes such as Jamie Baulch, Dame Kelly Holmes, Dai Greene and many more through the 'Jamie Baulch Academy'. This is a great way to get our sport recognized and inspire the kids to get out on their bikes!" The last few weeks Chopper has been busy filming, shooting for Jaguar with trips to different locations freeriding, dirt jumping etc. Also filming with Dimitri who is from Estonia, shooting 'days in the life' webisodes. "I am pretty busy at the mo with training for this year, super chuffed with how it is all going right now :)" We at Nookie Bikes are looking forward to a productive if not hectic 2011 season. It is our wish to support all of our riders at this seasons events and provide them with a good range of Nookie Bikes components to run. Here's to a good 2011!
